Curious about the Rheinland-Pfalz-Saar Registry? To help out, the RPSI offfice sent the attached document. The information it contains may help you decide if you would like to present your horse(s) at an RPSI KURING.

ABOUT THE HMDC

The HMDC is a Group Member Organization (GMO) of the United States Dressage Federation (USDF) and a Wyoming non-profit (501(c)(3)) corporation.
The Heart Mountain Dressage Club was formed in 1989 to promote the sport of dressage in the Big Horn Basin area of Wyoming. The club, which draws its members primarily from around the towns of Cody and Powell, is comprised of a dedicated group of dressage enthusaists and their supporters.

EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES

The HMDC's monthly newsletter and our on-line calendar keep members apprised of activities in the region. This plus other publicity also raises public awareness of classical riding and its usefulness to all forms of horsemanship.

The HMDC sponsors clinics, bringing experts to the area to provide both more exposure and depth to our local riders. It also supports local instructors by underwriting clinics focusing on their areas of expertise.

Through lectures, maintaining a video library, exchanges with other dressage groups in the region, and 'ad hoc' educational activities, the HMDC seeks to broaden its members knowledge.

SHOWS

The HMDC runs a number of schooling shows each year, spaced and scheduled to give our members a place to expose their horses to the show atmosphere and the benefit of a relaxed but demanding atmosphere for practicing their skills while getting valuable feedback from judges.

Each summer we hold a formal show. In years where we have enough support, we seek to run them as recognized shows. Otherwise, we conform to the norms of a recognized show without the expense and without the need for quite so many volunteers. This gives our members the experience of a recognized show without the high costs of traveling and entry fees.
