The VSD is an all purpose saddle but with a different emphasis. The VSD flap is much straighter and does not extend far forward. It is designed for the rider who mostly rides long in the stirrups. The VSD offers great applications for trail riding, flat work, and dressage, while suiting the jumpers who prefer to ride with long stirrups

Wintec Isabell Werth Dressage Saddle - 18" seat (complete with easy change gullet system - $99.00 value) - $825.00

This saddle was purchased new in November 2005 but has only been ridden in a handful of times due to horse injuries.

Developed in conjunction with World Dressage Champion, Isabell Werth to support both horse and rider. SADDLES

I have three outstanding quality saddles for sale. I’ve made notes on the types of horses and riders that each seems to fit and listed the seat and tree width of each saddle. Since the fit of the saddle depends so much on the preference of the rider and the shape of the horse’s back, we could probably make arrangements for you to take them on trial for a few days or you could ride in them on my horse. The saddles are located in Billings. Montana.

Dressage Saddle:

Passier Grand Gilbert. This is the newer model with a deep seat, gusseted panels, long billets. Black. This saddle seems to properly fit many different horses and riders. I am 5”5” and it is not too big for me because it leaves some room to move in the seat. I am using it on a wider quarter horse now but it also fits horses of average width and moderately shaped withers. It is ten years old and in good condition. Size 18” seat with a regular tree. 63” leathers and fillis stirrups included. $950.

Close Contact Saddle

Stubben Kerry II. Havanna brown. Outstanding condition. This is one of the prettiest saddles I have ever seen. It fits an average to smaller rider and a medium narrow to narrow horse. 16 ½ seat, medium tree. Stubben calls it a flat seat or type II saddle and it is built on a flat seat flexible spring tree. it has a narrower seat than other Stübben saddles and is designed with two main objectives: (1) giving the rider complete freedom of movement through minimum support from the seat, and (2) providing maximum contact between horse and rider through a combination of narrow twist, narrow seat, and short points on the tree. Flat seat saddles usually come with forward flaps and tend to be geared toward jumping. The Kerry II's main distinctive feature comes from the leather. The fronts are made of suede, while the rest of the leather surface is heavily embossed. The combination of doeskin and embossing provides superior grip and security. It is made with short panels, which allows the flap to lie flat against the horse for the closest possible contact. Knee blocks. High quality leathers, fillis stirrups, Stubben saddle cover, cotton backed synthetic fleece saddle pad and matching fleece lined girth included. This is a lovely saddle in almost new condition. It is extremely comfortable and secure feeling. $700.

All Purpose Saddle

Stubben Seigfried VSS. Havanna brown. Good condition. This saddle fits most average width horses and most average size and height riders find it comfortable. It would not fit a very narrow horse with high withers. 17 ½ seat, medium tree. The Siegfried VSS, Stübben's best known model, remains the ultimate all purpose saddle. The flap is wide and goes far forward, and allows the rider to adjust his stirrups for a broad range of uses. This model is made of cowhide and comes with a deep seat, which provides for added security. It also features soft suede padded fronts, a pencil knee roll (long and thin), and rear calf rolls, which offer support for the rider when in a jumping position. Leathers, fillis stirrups, Stubben saddle cover, leather girth and saddle pad included. $700.

BRIDLE

Stubben 3900 Fancy Stitched Snaffle bridle. Ebony. Full size raised leather snaffle bridle with padded browband and regular cavesson. It has elegant, subtle top stitching and ½ cheeks suitable to enhance the beauty of a horse’s head. The bridle alone retails for $198. It has been used once. Included are high quality web reins that have never been used. $100.

SADDLE PADS

Natural color shaped New Zealand sheepskin pad for close contact or all purpose saddle. Fits perfectly under either Stubben saddle listed above. Ultra soft with rolled edges. Natural cotton lining. Easy to wash with gentle soap and allow to air dry. Like new condition. $40.

Mattes square sheepskin lined dressage pad. White. Square quilted cotton pad that is lined under the saddle area with high quality sheepskin. Velcro billet attachments. Slight staining under area where saddle rests on pad, not visible when tacked up. Sheepskin is in like new condition. Retails for $179 in Dressage Extensions catalog. Easy to wash with gentle soap and allow to air dry. Lightly used. Measures 21 ½” x 42” $50.

BITS

KK Ultra Snaffle. 16 mm. Aurigan mouthpiece. New bit design based on the latest research from the Veterinary University in Hanover. After extensive study, the middle link has been shortened and the angle has been twisted by 45 degrees for the best possible effect without severity. 5 ¾”width. Retails for $89.95. Excellent condition. $50.

HS Loose Ring Snaffle. 16 mm German Silver mouthpiece. 5 ½” width. Excellent condition. $25.
